Teach Because It Matters!
McNeese State University's initial-certification baccalaureate programs effect change through education by empowering students, investing in communities, and impacting the world. Professional development and learning is advanced through an improvement cycle tailored specifically to the needs of each teacher candidate. Programs include special education coursework and course sequences that provide field experiences in the PK-12 classroom beginning in the first semester of the program and continuing throughout. Candidates are also actively engaged in local community activities, service-learning projects, and contribute to the Education Roundup as part of their well-rounded education.
